The PSG12 Series is a single-axis linear module driven by 60 mm frame stepper motors (open-loop or closed-loop), offering a cost-effective solution for precision automation and CNC applications. It features a φ16 mm C7 precision ball screw with selectable leads (5–32 mm), achieving a maximum speed of 533 mm/s and ±0.01 mm repeatability. With a maximum horizontal payload of 110 kg and a 3 N·m holding torque, it delivers reliable performance for pick-and-place, inspection, and multi-axis systems.

The PSG12 Series is built around a high-rigidity aluminum extrusion that integrates the linear guide ways and ball screw support bearings in a single machined assembly. This design ensures parallelism between the screw axis and guide rails without field alignment, reducing installation time and eliminating alignment errors.
The preloaded ball nut is factory-set to eliminate backlash, while the flexible coupling (10 × 8 mm) accommodates minor motor shaft misalignment. The motor mounting bracket supports five orientation configurations (exposed, side, bottom folded, left folded, and right folded), allowing the stage to fit into various machine layouts. External mounting grooves for home and limit switches simplify sensor installation, with NPN-type sensors available as standard.

For applications that do not require the high speed or continuous torque of a servo motor, the PSG12 stepper-driven version offers a cost-effective alternative without compromising on precision or load capacity. Its 3 N·m holding torque and 110 kg horizontal payload capability match the servo-driven PSG12-400W in many use cases, while the stepper motor's inherent holding torque eliminates the need for an external brake in vertical applications (within rated load limits).
Compared to belt-driven modules at a similar price point, the PSG12's ball screw drive delivers significantly higher thrust at low speeds and maintains position without power — a critical advantage for inspection or assembly stations where part stability is essential. The closed-loop stepper option further enhances reliability by detecting and recovering from missed steps, making it a robust choice for production environments where downtime must be minimized.
