Many CNC machines can achieve excellent positioning accuracy during low-speed testing.
However, when the same machine runs at higher acceleration and rapid traverse speed, engineers often notice a different result:
Corner accuracy decreases
Surface finish becomes inconsistent
Positioning error increases during direction changes
The reason is simple:
Static accuracy does not always represent dynamic accuracy.
A CNC axis is a mechanical system. When speed increases, every component—from the servo motor to the linear guide and ball screw—starts to influence positioning performance.
