ETH10 is a belt driven linear axis designed for automation equipment that requires high travel speed with reliable micron-level positioning. It is commonly installed in pick-and-place systems, light gantry structures, and inspection equipment where space and cycle time are both critical.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Drive Type | Belt driven (steel-reinforced, spring-tensioned) |
| Repeatability | ±0.01 mm (under standard test conditions) |
| Max Speed | 1000 mm/s |
| Stroke Range | 100 – 1050 mm (custom lengths available on request) |
| Max Horizontal Load | 30 kg (at 0.5 g acceleration) |
| Max Vertical Load | 10 kg (with brake option) |
| Motor Interface | AC servo (200W – 400W class, mounting bracket optional) |
The ETH10 uses an aluminum extrusion frame with integrated precision linear guide rails. The belt transmission system is mounted internally and driven by a servo motor through a pulley system. A spring-loaded tensioner automatically maintains belt preload, reducing the need for periodic manual adjustments in normal operation.
Performance values may vary depending on motor selection, stroke length, and installation rigidity. For vertical applications, a brake system is recommended.
Belt vs. ball screw: At stroke lengths above 500 mm, the ETH10's belt drive delivers significantly higher speed than equivalent screw-driven axes with minimal maintenance, though ball screws remain preferred for extremely high thrust or ultra-low backlash (< ±0.005 mm) applications.
